Ann Wilson has shared that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment and is ready to tour again.

In a post shared to social media on Wednesday, the Heart lead singer called the two weeks she spent waiting for her test results “a form of mental torture” and said she empathized “big time” for anyone that has had to undergo chemotherapy.

“Luckily for me, when the results finally came, they were the good kind,” she continued. “I’m excited to share with you that I’m now finished with chemo, and I’m officially ready to get ready for the tour in 2025.” The singer noted that although “there’s maintenance going forward,” the side effects are “less severe.”

She added, “The worst is over, and I’m thankful for the efficacy of this poison, but it’s more than welcome to get the fuck out of my body now.” Wilson said she was grateful to “everyone who prayed and sent me those good vibes.”

In July, Wilson revealed that she was undergoing cancer treatment and that Heart would have to postpone their remaining North American tour dates.

In a statement at the time, she said she had recently undergone “an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous.” Although she was “feeling great” after the “successful” procedure, the musician decided to follow her doctor’s advice to “undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy.”

Heart’s 2024 shows saw Ann reuniting with her sister Nancy Wilson after they put the band on hiatus between 2016 and 2019. In the interim, the sisters performed separately. Discussing the reunion during a Rolling Stone interview earlier this year, Ann said, “We just got really tired of not playing together, and we both wanted to do a Heart tour. So then there is this question hanging in the air: Can Heart be Heart without Ann or can Heart be Heart without Nancy?”

She added, “It never could … We just went, ‘Well, let’s do what we have to do.’ Our discomforts of the past, at least from my perspective, have really been ironed out.”

In her post shared on Wednesday, Ann concluded, “My story has a happy ending, due in part to early detection my advice.” She advised fans, “Get checked regularly. I love you all, and I’ll see you very, very soon. There’s much to celebrate.”
