Despite Oasis’ claim that they won’t conduct any joint interviews ahead of their reunion tour , Saturday Night Live managed to snag the Gallagher brothers — or, James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman as Noel and Liam, respectively — for an appearance on Weekend Update.

Right out of the gate, the brothers are in a contentious mood, needling each other with elbows and bickering like little siblings. Weekend Update host Colin Jost then asked the “Gallaghers” if they’ll be able to get along for the Oasis reunion tour.

“I’m cool if he’s cool,” Noel said.

“I’m cool. I’m cooler than you are,” Liam responded.

    “Stop it,” Noel fired back.

The arguing continued until Jost managed to find common ground between the brothers, which comes with their shared love of the same Nineties cartoon characters.

Jost then asked how the Gallaghers’ feud started, with Liam informing him that sparked backstage at Wembley Stadium, when Noel told all the Spice Girls that Liam had a “crooked knob.”

Tensions then flared up again until the brothers calmed down when asked about more things they agree on, which this time was favorite and least favorite Sex in the City boyfriends. Jost pleaded the Gallaghers to stay cool until the North American leg of the reunion tour , because the anchor already bought tickets, “and I’m about to mosh out so hard that I win ‘White Boy of the Year’ award.”

The sketch eventually caught the attention of the actual Liam Gallagher, who asked , “Are they meant to be comedians”?
