Morgan Wallen is getting into the business of music festivals. The country musician has announced his debut festival, Sand in My Boots, which will debut in Alabama next year. The event will feature a curated lineup of performers who will take the stage in the sand of the Gulf Shores beaches from May 16 through May 18, 2025.

“Morgan Wallen here to share some exciting news me and my team have been working on for a while for y’all,” the singer shared in a social post. “We’re heading south to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama and I’m bringing some good friends with me. Mark your calendars for May 16 – 18, 2025 for the Sand In My Boots Fest. Stay tuned and we’ll get you some more info soon!”

Sand in My Boots is being developed in partnership with Hangout Festival , with both being produced by AEG Presents, which also helms the California country festival Stagecoach . “Creating a Festival with Morgan has been a dream come true… and some of the most fun I have ever had booking a show,” Stacy Vee, Goldenvoice EVP and Stagecoach producer, shared in a statement. “I can’t wait for fans to come and experience one of the most eclectic and electric lineups and on-site experiences the world has ever seen.”

Wallen joins a wave of musicians who are attaching their name and involvement to festival-level events. In 2019, Pharrell Williams launched his Something in the Water Festival hosted in the sand in Virginia Beach. The event hasn’t completely found its footing yet, having encountered harsh weather its first year and scheduling conflicts in its other installments. Jay-Z, J. Cole, Yungblud, Drake, and more have also helmed their own festivals.

Wallen has never launched a music festival before, but he’s headlined a few. The country artist was a headliner at this year’s Stagecoach Festival, BST Hyde Park, Carolina Country Music Fest, and more.
