Winona woman bites police officer
(KWNO)- A Winona Police Department spokesperson said officers on Wednesday responded to a house in the 450 block of East 5th Street. The man who lives at the house wanted 53-year-old Tracy Hazelton to leave but she was refusing. The spokesperson said Hazelton and the homeowner were going through a breakup. Officers determined Hazelton had an outstanding Wisconsin warrant and when they tried to arrest her, she became combative and bit an officer in the leg. After subduing Hazelton officers found cocaine and methamphetamine in her purse. Hazelton is in jail, charged with drug possession and assault, among other charges.

WINONA, Minn. – Police were called to remove an unwelcome guest from an East Side house, but she didn’t want to go. While one officer was negotiating with her to leave, another officer learned that she was wanted on an arrest warrant from Wisconsin. The woman, Tracy Lynn Hazelton, 53, was told she was under arrest. Police said she began kicking and bit one officer in a leg. Unsure of her mental condition, officers took Hazelton to the Winona hospital. Once cleared medically, she was taken to jail.
