    Roma resident claims $1 million from scratch ticket

    ROMA, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A Roma resident has claimed the top prize of a million-dollar scratch ticket game, the Texas Lottery announced.

    The anonymous winner claimed $1 million in Platinum Millions which was purchased at 3 Aces Grocery, located at 181 S. Efren Ramirez Ave. in Roma.

    According to the Texas Lottery, the overall odds of winning any prize in Platinum Millions are 1 in 3.66, including break-even prizes.

    The recent win is the second of four total top prizes to be claimed in Platinum Millions, with two top prizes yet to be played or claimed.

    This is the fourth million-dollar lottery prize claimed in the Rio Grande Valley this year.
