FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting a woman after a disturbance early Sunday morning. Just after midnight Sunday, Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to the 4600 block of Glenmary Dr. after shots rang out following what FWPD described as a disturbance.

An Indiana woman owes her life to her heroic rescue dog, who barked up the right tree by sniffing out a carbon monoxide leak. 38-year-old Samantha Griffin shared her story with Good Morning America on Thursday, July 11. She recounted how, in June, her two-year-old husky Luna began urgently “pouncing on” her to go outside. Shortly thereafter, first responders discovered a significant carbon monoxide leak in her Marion apartment.

No injuries after multiple boats overturned at Geist
No one was reported injured after multiple sailboats overturned on Geist Reservoir July 14 during a sudden storm that included strong winds, rain, thunder and lightning. According to the Fishers Fire Department, first responder boats 392, 391 and 391B, with assistance from the Department of Natural Resources and Indianapolis Fire Department, conducted search and rescue operations at the reservoir, making multiple surface rescues.
