Rome PD searching for information on Sunday night shooting

ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — Rome Police are asking for the public’s help in a shooting that sent one person to the hospital on Sunday, July 14.

Officers reported to Haselton-Wright Park on Riverview Parkway North at approximately 10:50 pm on Sunday. Upon their arrival, they located one male victim with a gunshot wound to the neck. His identity has not been released.

Officers say they immediately began lifesaving measures until medical personnel arrived. He was subsequently rushed to an area hospital, where police say he is currently in critical condition.
