Geri Olympics Held at Graystone Church

RONCEVERTE- Graystone Baptist Church in Ronceverte hosted the Geri Olympics on Tuesday afternoon, July 30 in the gym. Five facilities participated in the event and competed against each other for a couple of hours. Lewisburg Healthcare, Seneca Healthcare, Rainelle Healthcare, Summers County Healthcare, and Lindside Healthcare were the five there and all are owned by Communicare.

Events included basketball, volleyball, bowling, axe throwing, wheelchair racing, and target shooting.

The final results are as follows:

Overall Winners- first place- Rainelle, second place- Summers County, third place- Lewisburg

Volleyball- 1st- Seneca Trail, 2nd-Lewisburg healthcare, 3rd-Summers

Basketball- Jim Delong- Rainelle, Debbie Harvey-Seneca Trail, Rachel Meadows-Lindside Healthcare

Bowling – Deloris Amick- Rainelle, Seldon Keen- Summers, Warren Adkins- Summers

Axe Throwing – Vickie Bishop- Seneca, Deloris Amick- Rainelle, Kevin Gobson-Summers

Wheelchair Race – Barbara Forsyth- Summers, Cecil Bennett- Lewisburg, Clyde Watson- Lindside
