Coloring Supplies Bring Joy to Seniors in Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels has offered their services for the Town of Elm City, NC for over twenty years now says area site Manager Ms. Diane Nesmith. Pictured above are a few regular attendees who are enjoying a "hot" Monday afternoon meal of the day. With smiles on their faces, these women were happy to receive hand delivered coloring supplies today on behalf of the Town of Elm City.

The Elm City Train Depot (101 Nash St.) is the current site for the Wilson County, NC Meals on Wheels program and is open each day Monday-Friday from 10am-1pm. Serving time is 12:00pm. Meals on Wheels offers their services to those aged 60 and above and/or anyone who is handicapped or disabled.

According to the Meals on Wheels website (mowwilson.org), congregate sites such as this one "serve the same meals that are delivered through our Meals on Wheels program and each site even has its own home delivery route for the immediate area that congregate site participants, who are able, can volunteer to deliver"!
