Sawdust Art Festival Extends Philanthropic Hand to Local Artists
Festival exhibitors donate original works to benefit the Artists’ Benevolence Fund auction. Since its genesis in 1967, the Sawdust Art Festival has played an indispensable role in supporting the careers of Laguna Beach artists. With its two annual events—the summer festival, held from June to August, and Winter Fantasy in November and December—the Sawdust Art Festival organization was founded to engage and educate visitors on Laguna’s remarkable art culture.

Adult, 4 children taken to hospital after Rio Linda crash
RIO LINDA, Calif. — A car accident in Rio Linda led to an adult and multiple children being taken to the hospital Saturday evening, according to Sacramento Metro Fire. Good news for Folsom drivers - pipeline project on Folsom Blvd completed
Good news for Folsom drivers - city officials announced that the Folsom Boulevard Pipeline Construction project is officially finished. The critical infrastructure project involved a one-mile section of Folsom Boulevard from Blue Ravine Road to Bidwell Street. During the construction, slow downs were experienced in that section of roadway as lanes were reduced and drivers were merged into one lane.
Folsom man arrested for attempted homicide
FOLSOM, California — A man was arrested Friday night following a shooting that left one person injured, according to the Folsom Police Department. Officers responded to the area of Duchow Way and Wales Drive at 8:45 p.m. on July 26, 2024, where they found an adult male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim received first aid at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
