DALLAS, Texas — Former Texas State Representative Jim Pitts passed away shortly before midnight on July 20, 2024, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, surrounded by his loved ones. Jim Pitts dedicated his life to public service, representing House District 10 in the Texas House of Representatives from 1993 to 2015. His district comprised Ellis County, Hill County, and a portion of Henderson County. During his tenure, he served as Chairman of Appropriations from 2005 to 2007 and from 2009 to 2015. Former Library Transforms into Fulshear Annex, Including Fulshear Community Health Clinic
Today, the Fort Bend County Health and Human Services (FBCHHS) Community Health Clinic opened its doors at the Fulshear Annex, the former location of the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library. The library, named after Commissioner Bob Lutts, was originally opened in May 1998 and served the community until its doors closed in May 2023 to make way for the new Fulshear Branch Library.
