Houston seniors and people with disabilities eligible to apply for free portable air conditioners
HOUSTON — The Houston Health Department is giving away some free portable air conditioners to seniors, people with disabilities and caregivers of disabled children. Harris County residents who are 60 and older or who have a disability are eligible to apply by calling the Harris County Area Agency on Aging at 832-393-4301.
League City Police Department Celebrates Sergeant's 15-Year Anniversary
LEAGUE CITY, Texas — The League City Police Department is honoring Sergeant Ross Haunschild for his 15 years of dedicated service. Sergeant Haunschild began his career with the department in May 2009, serving in various roles including Patrol Officer, Traffic Officer, Crash Team Investigator, Field Training Officer, Marine Patrol Officer, SWAT Officer, Community Impact Unit Detective, and TCOLE Instructor, according to a press release from the department. In 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and has since completed the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy for Leadership.
