New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox: Series Preview
Is this rock bottom for the Yankees? An All-Star break reset hasn’t blossomed into any tangible results for the team from the Bronx. A mixed-bag series against the Rays was followed by a beatdown at the hands of the cross-town rival Mets. Nothing the Yankees are doing has inspired much optimism as they head toward the trade deadline. They have holes to fill but what realistically can be done to alter different phases of this team — lineup depth, bullpen, another starter — is yet to be seen.

The Celtics held opponents to under 100 points in 11 of their 19 postseason outings. Boston Bruins Newcomer Set to Make Significant Impact
In a bold move this offseason, the Boston Bruins shook things up by sending Linus Ullmark, their star goaltender, to the Ottawa Senators. This decision broke up the NHL’s dynamic duo between Ullmark and fellow star, Jeremy Swayman. As a result, Swayman is set to take on a much larger role in the upcoming 2024-25 season. The Bruins acquired forward Mark Kastelic in the Ullmark trade. In doing so, they add a player who may not grab headlines just yet, but has the potential to greatly strengthen the team’s lineup. Mark Kastelic is famous for his physical play, and there’s no doubt he’ll bring that same level of physicality to the Bruins.
