North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center, headquartered in Roslyn Heights, raised $110,000 at a golf outing in support of mental health.

The fundraiser, the Jonathan Krevat Memorial Golf Classic on Monday at Sands Point Golf Club.

The event aims to support healing to children and families dealing with mental health or substance use challenges.

“The mission of the Guidance Center is more important than ever before, with children and teens suffering from serious mental health challenges,” Troy Slade, board member and co-Chair of the event, said in a news release about the fundraiser.

“We are all so grateful to our many friends, colleagues and family members who came out to support this vital organization ghat makes a real difference for the children in our community,” Slade added.

This year’s guest speaker was Sam Epifania, a Guidance Center volunteer for the Wilderness Respite Program, an innovative program that allows adolescents to build confidence and community with their peers through challenging hikes.

“I’ve seen the Wilderness Respite Program change lives, including my own,” Epifana said in the news release. “It's a place where kids can discover their strengths, find new friends, and learn to appreciate the world around them. Watching these kids grow has been a source of inspiration and a reminder of the benefits of being in nature with no distractions, just genuine connection.”

In addition to Slade, event co-chairs included Michael Mondiello, Dan Oliver and Michael Schnepper.

This year’s sponsors included Americana Manhasset, the Bahnik Foundation, and Jeff & Susan Krevat. Special thank you to our Corporate Foursomes: City National Rochdale, the Levine Group, MS Reinsurance, NFP, PSEG Long Island, Rivkin Radler and SkyBridge Capital.
