The fourth annual Fall Art in the Park, organized by a Tucker couple, will be held Oct. 12, running the gamut from ceramics to fiber arts.

John and Amy Gresens created the event in 2021 with only 10 artists, and it has grown exponentially over the years. This year, around 25 artists will display their works, including ceramics, painting, fiber arts, jewelry, soap, and glass.

“Not only is it a fun event, but it also serves as a fundraiser as proceeds from the concession stand, as well as the artist booth fees, go toward improvements to our 50-year old pool,” Amy said.

John Gresens is a familiar name in the Tucker arts community, having served for years as a program director at the Tucker Recreation Center . He is now the ceramics program director at Spruill Center for the Arts in Dunwoody, following the retirement of long-time director Ken Horvath. Amy is the education director at Spruill as well.

“In addition to the festival, our legendary concession stand will be open during the festival and serving up the best hamburgers, grilled cheese and other culinary delights our concessionist crafts up,” Amy said.

The Fourth Annual Fall Art in the Park will be at the Drayton Woods Recreation Club, 4259 Drayton Woods Club Drive, on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
