WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A group of young women doing their part to spread joy and healing is helping us get uplifted. Back in April we featured volunteers who have gathered to sew heart-shaped pillows for some hospital patients. For nearly a decade, volunteers from the Woodbridge Women's Club have gotten together to craft pillows for cancer and surgery patients at the Sentara Cancer Network Resource Center in Woodbridge.

An 80-year-old man was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, and a family of six has been displaced.
