Former Rowan County Teacher Sentenced for Production of Child Pornography
A Morehead, Ky., man, Andrew Zaheri, 40, was sentenced on Monday, by U.S. District Judge David Bunning, to 22 years in prison, for production of child pornography. According to his plea agreement, in the summer of 2022, Zaheri began a sexual relationship, with a minor student at the high school where he was employed as a teacher. The relationship continued through the school year and included Zaheri engaging in sexual acts with the victim during school hours. Zaheri admitted that, during the course of the relationship, he produced sexually explicit images and videos of the minor victim using his cell phone.
Kentucky teacher sentenced 22 years in prison over child pornography
FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky has announced sentencings in two cases, one involving production of child pornography by a former high school teacher and coach with one of his students, the other was a case of COVID relief fund fraud.

Fern Williams, born on September 4, 1938, in Rowan County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 85. Fern was a private and proud lady, known for her impeccable sense of style and her love for family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, and relishing the beautiful life she led by the Elizabeth River. A member of Hickory Methodist Church, Fern’s faith was an important part of her life. She retired from the Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) as a financial clerk, where she worked diligently for many years. Her colleagues will remember her for her dedication and meticulous nature. Fern is preceded in death by her parents, Vada (Jones) Dehart and Levi Scotland Dehart; her loving husband, Richard W. Williams, Sr.; her infant daughter, Deborah Lynn; and seven siblings.
