Man charged with fleeing in stolen car tied to multiple break-ins
SALISBURY — A Burlington man has been charged after deputies said that he fled from a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle that has been tied to multiple break-ins. The incident began at approximately 2:50 a.m. on Monday, when a deputy was running stationary radar on the northbound side of Interstate 85 and clocked a white Honda Civic at approximately 92 mph, said Captain Mark McDaniel, public information officer for the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Rowan County business owner charged with trying to meet 14-year-old on Snapchat for sex
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A Kannapolis business owner is behind bars after investigators said he tried meeting a 14-year-old girl on Snapchat for sex. Mohamed Al-Hareurey is facing several charges related to the incident. He was arrested by Rowan County deputies and charged with soliciting a child by computer and soliciting child prostitution. He is being held under a $250,000 bond.

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. – Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man after he allegedly offered a 14-year-old vapes in exchange for sex, according to a news release. The release states that on June 2, 2024, deputies learned that the owner of the Cannon Tobacco and Vape Shop in Kannapolis was soliciting a 14-year-old girl for sex using Snapchat. The owner was identified as Mohamed Mosed Ahmed Al-Hareurey and deputies say that he offered vapes in exchange for sex after the conversation was recorded.
