Ex-treasurer stole $16K from Guyer football booster club, reports say
The former Guyer High School football booster club’s treasurer was recently arrested after she allegedly stole nearly $16,000 from the organization. Denton ISD employees at Guyer this spring reported to police in April that funds were missing from the booster club, which is run by volunteers, the Denton Record-Chronicle reported. Denton Police Department detectives found a lot of charges that appeared to be made by the club’s former treasurer, Shauna Martin — including purchases for travel, food, utilities and more — for more than $15,800.

DALLAS — MLG Capital has acquired The Jade at Frisco, a 424-unit property in the northern Dallas suburb of Frisco. The garden-style community is located at 16220 Phoebe Road, adjacent to Craig Ranch, a 400-acre master-planned development. Congratulations to Dane Acker, who won the voting to be named the #13 prospect in the LSB Midseason Community Prospect Rankings with a little under 20% of the vote. Because there has been a history of vote-spamming shenanigans in the rankings, I used Google Forms for the last couple of community rankings, and it worked out well, so we will use it again. You will need to include your LSB user name when you vote. If you don’t have an LSB user name, you need to use some sort of identifier. While this won’t eliminate the possibility of vote spamming, it will make it harder.
