Agreements Signed at Osage County Commissioners Meeting
The Board of Osage County Commissioners convened for a short meeting at the fairgrounds in Pawhuska on Monday morning. At that meeting, there were agreements signed with the nutrition department. The Hulah Lake Senior Citizens Center will serve as a facility for meals for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The New Hope Christian Fellowship Church will do the same for $500 a month. Carol Long will deliver meals for the nutrition department at a rate of 67 cents per mile.

Norman Regional Hospital Moves To New I-35 Location
The Norman Regional Health System marked a new chapter Monday with the first full day at a new primary location. After 78 years at 901 North Porter Ave, the location has been decommissioned, closing its hospital doors to patients and making the move across town to a new state-of-the-art hospital near Interstate 35 and West Tecumseh Road. The new location, previously known as the HealthPlex, is now Norman Regional Hospital.
Kingston man accused of kidnapping, attempted strangulation
CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A Kingston man is in the Carter County Jail, accused of kidnapping and trying to strangle a woman last week. According to court records, Jack Canada, 44, held the woman in a home against her will and attempted to strangle her. Court records also show he assaulted another man by repeatedly punching him in the face.

Heat Warnings Issued in Oklahoma and Arkansas, Indexes up to 113 Degrees
Oklahoma City, OK – An excessive heat warning is in effect for parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas from noon to 9 PM today. Residents should prepare for dangerously high heat index values up to 113 degrees in affected areas including Tulsa, Muskogee, and Bartlesville. A heat advisory has also been issued for the rest of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas with heat indexes expected to reach up to 109 degrees.
