Rushville man killed in Ontario County motorcycle crash

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man from Rushville was killed in a motorcycle crash in Ontario County Friday morning.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Daniel Blauvelt was found dead in the crash in the area of Rt. 245 and County Road 18 in the Town of Gorham.

Deputies said Blauvelt was heading south on County Road 18 and went through the intersection. It’s believed that Blauvelt made contact with an embankment, which caused him to fall from his motorcycle.

The area of Rt. 245 was closed to traffic for around three hours. The cause is under investigation.
