Truck accident on Moneta Rd interrupts power
On Friday morning, July 19, a tractor -trailer left the road on Moneta Road, Hwy 122, near Morgan’s Church Road. The truck clipped a telephone pole and dumped its load of lumber before coming to a stop against a tree. No injuries were reported, but power was interrupted in the area and traffic delayed. Moneta Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene along with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and crews from AEP who worked to restore power.
