Titans Announce Seven Recent Hires to the Football Staff and an Additional 13 Promotions
The Tennessee Titans announced seven recent hires to the football staff and an additional 13 promotions. The new hires include A.J. Highsmith as Director of Scouting, Sam Summerville as Senior National Scout, Leland Taylor as Director of Football Administration, Joey Glennon as Video Director, Erin Psajdl Davis as Football Data Analyst, Alex Rogers as Football Data Analyst and Keenan Agnew as a Scouting Assistant.
OBITUARY: Jason ‘Jay’ Prentice Eagan
Mr. Jason “Jay” Prentice Eagan, age 49, of Smyrna, TN passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born in Mobile, AL to Larry and Beth Cockrell Eagan. Jay graduated from UTC and worked in the logistics and trucking industry. Jay was a selfless loving father who cherished his daughter and was known for his sense of humor. He was an avid lover of music who was talented in playing guitar and drums.

Born on February 4, 1929, in Olivet, Michigan, to Sarah Marie and Clifford Rhodus, Doris was lovingly raised by her Aunt Dot and her grandmother. Despite a challenging upbringing, she blossomed into a remarkable woman who led a vibrant and beautiful life.

Vincent Eugene “Lobo” Van Winkle, age 51 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born November 22, 1972, in Murfreesboro, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Van Winkle, grandparents, Johnny and Myrtle Bradley; grandfather, Archie Van Winkle; grandmother, Lillie Brawner; and several aunts and uncles.

John Laurence Flach, born August 24, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2024, holding his beloved wife Tina’s hand. A miracle baby to Alfred and Ann Flach, John’s arrival was a blessing to his older parents, who dreamed he might one day become a priest. While he did not choose to become a priest, he did choose a path marked by love, laughter, compassion, and an insatiable curiosity for life.

Glenn Allen Climer Sr. (79) went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 19, 2024. Glenn was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County, TN. He was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church then a founding member of the original Lighthouse Baptist Church now the location of Middle Tennessee Baptist Church. Glenn was a member of the Gideons Internationals, sang in the church choirs and one of the leads for the Young Adults’ Sunday School.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Buford Givens and Daisy Bell Puckett Givens; and brothers, Harold Dean Givens, Lytle Givens.

Suspect in TN Trooper Shooting Captured in Kentucky; Second Suspect Still at Large

Two Suspects Wanted in Connection to Highway Patrol Trooper Shooting in Putnam County
Authorities are searching for two suspects who are wanted in connection to the shooting of Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Trooper Adam Cothron in Cookeville on July 19th. Authorities have identified one of the suspects as 29-year-old Braze Rucker and THP is offering a $10,000 award for information leading to the arrest of Rucker. Authorities are still trying to identify the second suspect.

Here is a look at the 2024 Tennessee Titans edge rushers. In camp (7): Harold Landry III, Arden Key, Rashad Weaver, Caleb Murphy, Jaylen Harrell, Thomas Rush, Khalid Duke. Offseason developments: Veterans Key and Weaver worked with the team in Nashville throughout the team’s offseason program, each looking to earn even more opportunities in 2024. The team has been pleased with Key’s attitude, and participation. Murphy, heading into his second NFL season, was also a consistent participant. There’s a void left behind following the departure of DL/Edge Denico Autry, and the Titans need players to step up. The Titans added Harrell in the seventh round of the NFL Draft out of Michigan, after bringing back Rush on a futures deal and also and adding Duke as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State. Meanwhile, Ben Bloom was hired as outside linebackers coach on Brian Callahan’s staff.

A new luxury boutique hotel, Motif (50 Music Square West), located in the heart of Music Row, officially opened its doors for business with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Members of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and city dignitaries were in attendance, as well as many influencers and executives from throughout Music City.
