OBITUARY: Bessie Elizabeth King
Bessie Elizabeth Walker King, age 91 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. Born in Fairfield, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Audry Walker and Elizabeth Chilton Walker. Mrs. King was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, H Carlyle King, a son, H Carlyle King Jr, sisters, Vera Lee Walker Drinnon, Sara Walker Rose, Rebecca Walker Swing, Mary Louise Walker, and Lavye Walker Fann, brothers, John Audry Walker and Joe Boyd Walker.

BNA Launches Non-Ticketed Guest Pass Program for Post-Security Shopping, Dining
Nashville International Airport, in cooperation with the Transportation Security Administration, announces the launch of BNA PASSport, a new offering for non-ticketed guests to access dining and retail at the airport beyond the checkpoint. Beginning July 1, visitors can explore various activities at BNA that not only include shopping and dining but also plane-watching, art exhibits, and the opportunity to meet a loved one at the gate.
Heart of Texas Roadshow Heads to The Troubadour
The Heart of Texas Roadshow will be staged at The Troubadour at 2416 Music Valley Drive in Nashville, on Saturday, July 20. The show begins at 2:00 PM and admission is $25 per person. Tickets are now on sale at heartoftexascountry.com. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the performance. Murfreesboro City Construction Projects for June 30 through July 6
Beasie Rd Extension (River Rock Blvd just north of Racquet Club Dr) Expected Lane Closures: Monday Through Friday: Riverrock Blvd will be reduced to one-lane flagging operation intermittently at Beasie Rd for roadway widening work. Road and bridge construction work over Stones River Greenway continues. The greenway trail will be closed around the existing Beasie Rd area until further notice due to bridge construction work over the greenway trail. There will be no through trail access between the Old Fort Park and Cason Trailhead. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
