Weather Alert: Strong storms near Cherokee, Hendersonville
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Special Weather Statement for the Hendersonville area. The NWS said Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles south of Hendersonville, or 5 miles north of Pleasant Ridge State Park, moving southeast at 10 mph shortly before 3 p.m.
