The 2024 college football season is almost here, which means it is time to get ready to root for your Iowa Hawkeyes as they begin a new season in Iowa City. How will the offense look with Tim Lester replacing Brian Ferentz as the playcaller in 2024? The season officially gets underway against Illinois State on Aug. 31 before the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game. The Hawkeyes came out victorious over the Cyclones, 20-13. Iowa will have a major test on Oct. 5 when they travel to the Shoe to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. The following week the Washington Huskies come to Iowa City for the first time since the 1964 season. The Hawkeyes were able to defend the home turf on that day, fans hope that history repeats itself. One notable road trip on the back half of the schedule is the game against the UCLA Bruins at the Rose Bowl.
