Iowa High School Volleyball Match will be Played Outdoors
There have been some historic outdoor sporting events in recent years here in the Midwest. You had the 'Crossover at Kinnick' event starring the Iowa women's basketball team. It was the largest outdoor women's basketball game ever played. Then there was the volleyball match between Nebraska and Omaha last August. A crowd of over 92,000 packed Memorial Stadium in Lincoln to become the largest crowd to ever watch a women's sporting event.

When I see new fire stations being built I’m always a fan. The community is making an investment and it will pay dividends. New stations cut down on response time to a sometimes already taxed department. The way stations are being built now are much better than when I was volunteering. Truck Pulled Out Of Eastern Iowa Lake
(Johnson County, IA) -- The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is trying to track down the owner of a truck, hauled out of Coralville Lake. Fishermen using GPS discovered it in March. Crews and divers have now lugged it out of the water. Johnson County Sheriff Brad Kunkel tells Iowa's News Now the truck had been in the lake for a long time, possibly decades. Investigators say they do not believe the discovery is related to any death investigation. Work is underway to determine the make and model and find the truck's owners.
