    Japanese American Soldiers Exhibit, August 29: Unveiling US History

    A special presentation of the "I Am An American" Traveling Exhibit of the National Museum of the United States Army will be presented in Orange County, California. The venue is The Barclay, Irvine Barclay Theatre located at 4242 Campus Drive in Irvine. The date is Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 7:00 PM.

    The "I Am An American" Traveling Exhibit features Japanese American soldiers who served in the United States Army during World War II when the land of their birth was at war with the land of their heritage.

    The program will feature General Eric Shinseki, 34th Chief of Staff U.S. Army, Leadership of the National Museum of the U.S. Army, Emmy Award Winning KABC News Anchor David Ono, National Veterans Network (NVN) and Army Historical Foundation, and a performance by Harold Payne.

    This special presentation is about the Traveling Exhibit, which will launch in 2026 to eleven cities nationwide to teach about the Japanese American World War II Soldiers in the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and the Military Intelligence Service of the U.S. Army.

    This will be an opportunity for the public to learn about an important part of United States history.

    This is a multi-generational family event and is free to the public.
