Council approves bids for pool maintenance projects
(KMZA)--The Seneca City Council approved two bids for maintenance projects at the city's Aquatic Center when they meet last week. Torrey Brothers Construction, of Wamego, will paint the pool and refinish the mushroom features for a cost of $89,750. Preparatory work will begin this fall, with the pool to be painted next spring.
8-man, Div. II: Axtell on pace for record-breaking season; Victoria, Osborne lead the way out west
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Twin Valley League in northeast Kansas has dominated the 8-Man, Div. II ranks in recent years. Axtell finished a third-straight perfect season last November to secure its third-straight title. Osborne won in 2019, ending a four-year run from Axtell’s league rival Hanover. Barring any mishaps, Axtell is in position to win a fourth-straight championship later this fall, and with a current win streak of 39 games, beat Hanover’s record of 43 consecutive wins.
