Dispute that disrupted health care for thousands has been resolved
Dignity Health has reached a new contract agreement with a Medi-Cal health plan provider, more than two months after thousands of Yolo County patients lost access to their doctor. <\p> Dignity Health and Partnership HealthPlan of California announced last week that they had completed a deal which will allow patients with Medi-Cal benefits administered through Partnership to go to a Dignity doctor for primary or specialty care. <\p>
This restaurant and music venue has reportedly closed on K Street
A restaurant and music venue in the heart of Downtown Sacramento's K Street corridor has reportedly closed and its future is unclear just one year after new operators took over the business.<\p> Solomon's Vinyl Diner, located at 730 K St., was closed on Tuesday afternoon during normal operating hours. The Sacramento Bee reported earlier in the day that the restaurant and its upstairs music venue, The Russ Room, had closed.<\p>
A specialized self-storage property in West Sac has sold
An investment firm formed four years ago with an emphasis on assisting recreational vehicle ownership has expanded in California with a property purchase in West Sacramento.<\p> Records show goHomePort, with an address in Chicago, bought a self-storage property for boats and RVs at 3040/3080 Promenade St. and 3555 Ramos Drive in West Sacramento in recent weeks.<\p>
Quick Quack Car Wash might be adding a new local site
A recent proposal would see a Carmichael parking lot converted into a Quick Quack Car Wash, which would be the Roseville-based chain's first location in the Sacramento County suburb.<\p> Real estate investor Ethan Conrad recently submitted a proposal in Sacramento County outlining plans for a new car wash at 6717 Fair Oaks Blvd. The property, which he owns, is currently a parking lot for a former Bank of America branch that is also located on the parcel. Online real estate data service Reonomy states that Conrad purchased the property in April 2023 for $1.2 million.<\p>

Wine bar and tapas restaurant for sale in El Dorado Hills
The owner of local wine bar and tapas restaurant The Vine is looking to sell one of her locations to help fund an expansion project.<\p> The Vine has locations on Sutter Street in Folsom and at the La Borgata center in El Dorado Hills. Owner Lisa Gomez purchased the Folsom business, formerly Citizen Vine, in 2018. In 2022, Gomez rebranded and expanded the business to include a second location at 3907 Park Drive in El Dorado Hills under The Vine banner. The latest concept has been described as the "sexy sassy sister" of Citizen Vine, which still operates a location in Lincoln under different ownership.<\p>
This would be the first project of its kind in Placer County's Penryn
Land not far from Interstate 80 in the unincorporated Placer County community of Penryn is slated to be the site of the first affordable housing project there.<\p> Roseville-based USA Properties Fund Inc. has submitted a development application for a 240-unit project called Hope Way Apartments on 11.5 acres at the southwest corner of Penryn Road and Hope Way.<\p>

Big Island Burritos has closed its Camino restaurant after less than a year, but the local group behind the eatery is planning something new for the space.<\p> The former restaurant, which opened last November at 3600-B Carson Road, fused Mexican dishes with island and Asian flavors. It offered burritos, soft tacos and bowls that could be customized with veggies or meats such as kalua pork or bulgogi beef, as well as sides like kimchi or esquites.<\p>
Homeowners continue to build equity, impacting future buying decisions
American homeowners continue to build significant equity even as the housing market has slowed and home prices aren't rising as rapidly as they did in recent years.<\p> U.S. homeowners with a mortgage pulled in $28,000 in equity gains on average year over year in the first quarter, the highest amount since late 2022, according to CoreLogic Inc. That average year-over-year increase of 9.6% translates to a collective gain of $1.5 trillion and means net homeowner equity totaled more than $17 trillion at the end of Q1.<\p>

Starbucks store closing near the State Capitol. Here's when.
A Starbucks store is planning to close near the State Capitol building, what will be the chain's second location in Downtown Sacramento to shutter within the last month.<\p> The Seattle-based coffee chain has stores throughout the greater Sacramento area. Signage posted at its store at 1123 12th St. states the location will be permanently closing, with its last day of operation planned for June 18. The announcement, which thanked customers for supporting the location, did not specify a reason for the closure.<\p>
