Nixtaco posted a rendering image for its upcoming SMF storefront on Facebook . According to the final RFP and awardee information disclosed by Sacramento County, a Nixtaco location will replace Urban Crave Express in Terminal B at Sacramento International Airport . The location is managed and operated by High Flying Foods and is anticipated to open between June and August 2024 , according to a timeline seen on ABC10 .

Founded by husband-and-wife duo Patricio Wise and Cinthia Martinez , Nixtaco is an innovative Mexican Restaurant that brings new life to traditional Mexican recipes. Nixtaco’s home base is located at 1805 Cirby Way in Roseville , where the restaurant serves the local community lunch and dinner every day throughout the week. The team states on the website: “We create comfort food designed to take you a bit out of your comfort zone, and away from preconceived notions, prefabricated tortillas, and pre-cooked meats.”

Nixtaco’s menu features various tacos, shareable, traditional sides, quesadillas, and burritos. The restaurant also has an extensive vegan and gluten-free offering, ensuring every guest can find something to enjoy. What Now Sacramento reached out to Nixtaco’s owners regarding the menu that will be available at the SMF location, but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.

Other concepts partnering with High Flying Foods will open around the same time, including Temple Coffee and Bawk! by Urban Roots . San Francisco-based High Flying Foods currently operates 40 locations in 7 major international airports across the U.S., according to the company’s website.
