La Mini Birrieria , a taqueria on Northgate Blvd is moving into a larger space right next to its existing address. The business posted on Instagram : “It’s official!! WE ARE MOVING!!”

Currently located in an 800-square-foot space at 2682 Northgate Blvd , the mother-daughter-operated restaurant has secured the space a few blocks down at 2650 Northgate Blvd , which previously belonged to Rico’s Italian Pizza. The story was first seen in Sacramento Business Journal .

Claiming to be (and much recognized as) the cutest birria spot in Sacramento, La Mini Birrieria is operated by mother-and-daughter-duo Sara Luviano and Zulema Acevedo . Many have known the business thanks to its unmistakable pink food truck, adorable mascot cow, and, of course, delicious tacos, sandwiches, and specialty horchatas.

Established in 2020, La Mini Birrieria started as a pop-up concept and opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2022. Last month, the operators decided to move into the larger space at 2650 Northgate. According to The Business Journal , the operators plan to adopt the restaurant’s iconic pink branding to the building’s exterior as well as make a few upgrades to the interior and the kitchen.

No estimated opening timeframe is available. What Now Sacramento reached out to Acevedo but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage. La Mini Birreria is currently open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
