The City of Sacramento has received a new application to build out Twisted Track Station , a new eatery featuring light bites and drinks. The space, located at 1201 R Street , was previously occupied by Shoki Ramen House .

When the property first became vacant, incoming operators Matt and Fred Haines had intended to open another eatery and added some shipping containers to the existing space. However, no updates have been heard since then. Now, Matt Haines is moving forward with his original plan for the space with the help of Sacramento-based Darrin Pradie Construction (DP Construction).

The plans submitted will fully remodel the existing restaurant space, including the outdoor patio area, which have a total of 1,500 square feet of coverage. The application suggests a change of the floor plan and interior remodeling, plus a full upgrade of all existing kitchen equipment. There will also be electric and plumbing upgrades.

The new restaurant will serve paninis, salads, some light sides, soup, and freshly made cinnamon sugar doughnuts. A general eating place license appears to be pending under the new eatery based on Alcoholic Beverage Control data, suggesting the new eatery will likely to serve beer, wine, and some mixed drinks.

What Now Sacramento reached out to the Haines brothers but did not hear back. Matt Haines is also the owner of Twisted Track Gallery , which is only a few blocks further down R Street.
