Pangaea Bier Cafe has filed a new application proposing a secondary outdoor dining area with the City of Sacramento. The new outdoor dining area is a covered patio with an elevated platform and an overhead shad structure.

Owned by local restaurateur and entrepreneur Rob Archie , Pangaea Bier Cafe is best known for its extensive bottle shop featuring 100+ bottles. The eatery was also recognized three times as Sacramento’s Burger Battle Champion. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and also hosts pop-up brunches featuring a hand-picked draft beer list.

The restaurant currently has a small outdoor patio on the sidewalk right outside of its front entrance at 2743 Franklin Blvd . The application, submitted by the business’s contractor, Sacramento Design Systems , indicates the new patio will sit in front of 2741 Franklin Blvd , taking over two parallel parking spaces and a portion of the sidewalk on the side of the building.

What Now Sacramento reached out to Archie but hadn’t heard back regarding any details on the new patio by the time of this coverage. Archie also co-operates Urban Roots and its subsequent concept, Bawk! in Sacramento.
