A new Dutch Bros Coffee is taking over the space at 2128 Sutterville Road near the Union Stadium . The space was previously occupied by KFC. Permits and plans have been filed for the new drive-thru restaurant in the Carleton Tract district on May 29. According to Sacramento city records, the application is currently in progress.

The upcoming Dutch Bros location is operated by multi-unit franchisee Kyle Garrett , who is also working on a Dutch Bros location at Corporate Way . According to building plans, the Sutterville Road location will occupy a 1,520-square-foot space with a walk-up window on the building’s west elevation and a drive-thru window on the east elevation.

“The project proposes to convert an existing building previously used for drive-through food
services. A separate covered service window will be offered for walk-up customers on the western side of
the building opposite the drive-through service window,” says the project narrative submitted to the City of Sacramento.

The new location will allow up to ten vehicles to queue up in the drive-thru lane. Like other Dutch Bros locations, the new restaurant will also adopt the company’s “runner” system that appoints three to four staff during the day to take orders directly from the drivers.
