    Early morning Sacramento shooting kills one, police say

    (FOX40.COM) — A man died early Sunday morning after a shooting in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

    Police said the incident occurred around 4 a.m. near the Del Paso Heights neighborhood on High Street, less than half a mile from Grant Union High School.

    Officers said they found a man with at least one gunshot wound upon arriving at the scene. After officers attempted to provide medical aid, the man was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead, police said.

    There is no suspect information and police continue to investigate the matter actively.
