Land Park restaurant featured on the Food Network to close after 14 years

(FOX40.COM) — A Land Park restaurant that was once featured on national television announced its closing after 14 years.

Dad’s Kitchen, located on 2968 Freeport Boulevard, will have its last day of operation on July 28, the restaurant announced on its Facebook page.

“We have so much gratitude for the last 14 amazing years in this location but it is time to close the doors,” the restaurant said. “The last two weeks will be a celebration of our long term employees, our valued patrons, and the energy that was built in this fun and funky space.”

The restaurant said it will announce a celebration schedule as the last day of approaches.

Dad’s Kitchen gained national fame on the Food Network when Guy Fieri visited the restaurant for his hit show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in 2010. During the episode, Fieri highlighted the Dad’s burger, the restaurant’s signature dish.
