Smoke from the Park Fire in Northern California is expected to largely spare the Sacramento region, according to a National Weather Service forecast.

As of Friday morning, air quality monitoring stations near Sacramento were reporting that levels of ozone and particulate matter were in the “good” range.

The NWS forecast predicts that Park Fire smoke will generally head north and east, affecting communities such as Redding and Red Bluff. The current forecast runs to Sunday.
