Retail chain Big Lots to close 13 locations across Arizona
PHOENIX – Big Lots will be closing over a dozen of its Arizona stores, a product of the company’s plans to shut down multiple locations across the country. Thirteen locations across the Grand Canyon State are planned to close sometime this year. Closing stores will have banners on their personal webpages indicating their closure and promoting a 20% off discount with limited exceptions.

Human remains found by hiker on South Mountain
PHOENIX — A hiker found human remains while on South Mountain Saturday morning, officials with the Phoenix Police Department said. Police received a call from a park ranger just before 10 a.m. who said the hiker found what they thought were human remains. Officers responded and were able to confirm the remains were human.
