The pop star was arrested for ignoring a stop sign while driving his BMW X7, according to the police, much to the frustration of the popstar for one particular reason .
A statement from the office of his legal eagle, Edward Burke, read: "Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations."
"Mr. Burke will have a lot to say at the appropriate time; he is currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney's office."
Allegedly, the dad-of-two did a roadside sobriety test and turned down a breathalyzer.
An insider told the Daily Mail about Timberlake's night: "Justin was out to dinner with friends and there were cop cars stationed outside the restaurant like there are most nights."
"They look for people who are leaving after midnight who might have been drinking. Justin left at 12:30 AM and was pulled over as soon as he left. Nobody was hurt and there was no drama at the scene."
He was arrested on one charge of DWI and got extra raps for not stopping at the sign and for not keeping his car between the lines. He's due back in court on July 26, which is when he's also supposed to be performing in Poland.
While no official announcement has been made, it seems likely that the concert will be canceled - a situation reminiscent of Nicki Minaj's recent cancellation of her Manchester show after an arrest in Amsterdam.
With performances all over the US, Timberlake is regaining favour with both fans and critics.
The success of the tour has sparked rumours of a possible extension to Australia in 2025. However, Timberlake's recent DWI arrest casts uncertainty on the future of his tour plans.
