Elyria firefighters, police rescue child after 15-foot fall onto rocks near river
ELYRIA, Ohio — A young child was seriously injured Thursday after falling about 15 onto rocks near the Black River at Cascade Park. A news release from the Elyria Fire Department says firefighters and police were called to the park at about 3 p.m. The girl, whose age was not released, was in a “precarious spot” between large rocks and the river near the West Falls under the Lake Avenue Bridge, the release says.
