Idaho State Police seeks information about pedestrian struck on Highway 26
The Idaho State Police is seeking information on a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 26 Friday near the border of Wyoming. The incident occurred between 4 and 5 a.m., according to a press release. The impact was minor, so the driver may not have known they had struck someone. An unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 26 behind a pickup truck, police said. The pickup swerved left to avoid the pedestrian on the side of the highway. The unknown vehicle swerved to the right and struck the pedestrian. The driver did not remain on scene. Idaho State Police asks anyone in the area around this time that witnessed anything that may be related or has any information that may be helpful to call dispatch at (208) 528-3408.

The Dworshak Elk Working Group consists of 12 members representing hunters, outfitters, landowners and sportspersons groups. The purpose of this group is to develop proposal ideas for the 2025-26 season setting.
