    Minneapolis Ranked #1 City for Biking – Here’s What Locals Think About It

    For the second year in a row, Minneapolis has been named the best large city for bicycling by People for Bikes in their 2024 City Ratings . What makes us so special? Our city has an extensive network of dedicated bike lanes including the popular Midtown Greenway, which continues to grow and is maintained year-round. Our city also invests in bike safety, boasts multiple bikeshare programs, and has a vibrant bicycling community with numerous shops, clubs and events. There are more reasons to bike than ever! Hear what your neighbors think about getting around on two wheels.

    “I notice that my anxiety drops significantly when I do extra exercise like biking. I love biking in Minneapolis.”

    “I bike commute to work every weekday. It’s a great way to start and end the work day! When the snow starts to fly I switch to transit. The D line is fast and convenient. Getting to local destinations outside of work is easy to get to on a bike too.”
