COLCHESTER — Rows and rows of tall berry bushes hang heavy with juicy clusters of fruit as lush green leaves crowd out local fields. Pick-your-own berries season is upon us. Blueberries and raspberries are currently in season at Sam Mazza’s Farm, and the yield is likely to remain ripe and ready for the picking through the end of August. On top of all its usual offerings, Sam Mazza’s has added a row of black raspberries this year.

A road rage incident in South Hero, Vermont, led to a 75-year-old man being cited for assaulting a 20-year-old, according to reports from authorities. Vermont State Police responded to a call at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, with the confrontation taking place on Route 2 by Ferry Road. A statement from VSP detailed that the elderly individual, identified as Jack Deforge from Grand Isle, stepped out of his vehicle and physically assaulted Ryan Recore, who hails from Plattsburgh, New York.

Vermont Business Magazine Sparks and sawdust are flying as Vermont Works for Women runs two weeks of its popular Rosie’s Girls camp in Barre and Essex this summer. Vermont Works for Women created Rosie’s Girls in 2000 as a way to encourage girls and gender-expansive youth to explore non-traditional fields for their gender, such as STEM and the skilled trades, in a safe, fun, and empowering summer camp setting. Campers gain hands-on experience in fields like construction and welding, use power tools, and learn life skills to support their growth and career journeys. Camps are run by Vermont Works for Women staff and many partners around the state each summer.

VIENNA, Ohio (WCAX) - Three people from Quebec, including a child, were killed when a small plane that took off from Plattsburgh crashed in Ohio. It happened Friday at about 7 p.m. at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station near the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. Ohio troopers said the plane crashed near a runway.
