Midcoast Literacy, a non-profit that provides free literacy tutoring to people of all ages, is holding two training sessions for new volunteer tutors this fall: one for volunteers who want to work with kids, and one for volunteer English language tutors for adults. TD Bank Golf Tournament raises over $14,000 for NMCC Foundation
Aroostook County – The 17th annual TD Bank Golf Tournament to Benefit the NMCC Foundation took place on Thursday, August 15th, at the Presque Isle Country Club. This year’s event raised $14,851 to support students at Northern Maine Community College, drawing the largest number of teams since 2019. A total of 21 teams, comprising 88 golfers, teed off in the annual scramble.

Wiscasset’s Jackie Lowell gets ‘Spirit of America’ honor
