Lawsuit could be filed over painting of Babydog in West Virginia State Capitol
CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — She may be one of the most loved pets in America right now, but a painting of Babydog may now be the subject of a legal fight. Attorney Harvey Peyton has been contacted by people concerned about Babydog’s image being painted into a historic mural in the Capitol Rotunda. He wants to know how much it cost and whether proper legal procedures were followed to decide to put the dog’s likeness in the mural.

Charleston man sentenced to five years in prison on federal drug charges, prosecutors say
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Charleston man has been sentenced on Thursday to five years in prison on federal drug charges, prosecutors said. Willie Charles Sanders, also known as “Disco”, 51, was sentenced Thursday on distribution of methamphetamine charges after admitting to selling 28 grams of meth to an informant on Aug. 23, 2022, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of West Virginia.
East Bank community concerned for the future of their football field
EAST BANK, W.Va (WCHS) — Structural engineers recommended East Bank Middle School to not use their football field until serious repairs are made.
