William H. Cannon
William H. Cannon, age 59 of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 29, 1964, in Sewanee. William was previously employed as a truck driver and had previously worked at Henley’s for twenty years. His wonderful personality, as well as ability to make others laugh, will be remembered by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Hattie Mae Byers; parents, Wilburn Cannon and Mattie Louise Stephens. William is survived by his loving children, JoJo Cannon, Chris Cannon, William Cannon Jr, Dalton Cannon (Leah Smith), Riley Cannon, and Brittany Cannon (Mason Eley); eighteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private family services are planned.

Mitchell Lee Brunner, loving father, grandfather, and son, passed away at his residence in Fayetteville, TN on July 7, 2024. He was born April 17, 1974, in Tullahoma, TN to the late Carolyn Renee Conn and William Brunner who survives. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
David Eugene Barnett Sr
David Eugene Barnett Sr, age 77 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born on May 27, 1947, to the late John Patrick “JP” and Aline (Douglas) Barnett. Before his retirement, he was a paint technician at Del-Met. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh and was always making jokes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Erdman; and son, Dustin Barnett. David is survived by his loving children, David (Rachel) Barnett Jr, and John (Amy) Barnett; grandchildren, Ty Bogman, Shelby Barnett, Ellie Barnett, Makayla Hall, and Kaley Barnett; and nephew, Ricky Erdman. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Mrs. Dianne Keele, age 78, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Keele was born in Coffee County, TN, to her late parents Lawton Abbey Hill and Sally Cathleane Jacobs Hill. She worked as a secretary for North Coffee Elementary School until her retirement. Mrs. Keele was a member of Bell Springs Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening working with plants and flowers and she also enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Tennessee Titans football. Mrs. Keele enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends and enjoyed spending time with family. One of her favorite activities was sitting on the back porch in her rocking chair.

Stacey Jackson caught by Advance Financial cashing fraudulent check worth $6,300
23-year-old Stacey Jackson was seen cashing fraudulent checks at Advance Financial on Fort Campbell Boulevard on June 9th, 2023. That day, Jackson arrived at the business and brought a check for an IRS refund of $6,300. The check was cashed that day, and Advance Financial later discovered that it was fraudulent. Employees at Advance Financial reached out to Jackson, who stated that she knew the check was fraudulent but agreed to repay the money. Jackson was never able to pay the money back, so Advance Financial wished to pursue criminal charges. A warrant was issued, and Jackson was taken into custody for forgery on June 21st, 2024.
