Motlow State Co-Hosts FAFSA Clinics
TnAchieves, in partnership with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission/Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (THEC/TSAC), is providing 60+ Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) clinics in counties throughout the state. These events are open to the public and are designed to provide students and families with an opportunity to complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA prior to the August 1, 2024, TN Promise deadline.
Future Wildcats learning from current players
The Tullahoma High School Football team’s youth camp was held this week at Tullahoma High School, where campers spent the week learning from THS players and staff. The kids spent the week going through drills and learn fundamentals, as well as participating in drills and games to learn.

CONWAY, James “Big Guy,” age 77, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born on Feb. 4, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to James Kenneth Conway, Sr. and Mary Beatrice Conway. He was raised in Berkeley, Illinois and was a 1965 graduate of Proviso West. Most of his adult years were spent in St. Charles, Illinois where he raised his family. For 20 years Jim and Mary visited Winchester, Tennessee and were able to retire there in 2013. His career was in mechanical engineering, but his heart was in love of gardening, carpentry and his three daughters. He found great joy in life watching his two nephews and his six grandsons grow. He is survived by wife, Mary Conway; his younger brother, Jeffrey Conway and his sons, Johnathon and Benjamin of Huntsville, Alabama; and his daughters, Melissa (Trent Ellis) Lugo and her son, Jack of Salt Lake City Utah, Katie Lindgren (Jason) and their sons, Nolan, Knox and Miles of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Megan Burnett (Joe) and their sons Ryder and Jayce of St. Charles, Illinois. A celebration of life open to all will be held at the Novak Park Pavilion in St. Charles, Illinois on July 14, 2024, from 2-5 p.m. with a memorial moment at 3 p.m. Donations may be made in James’ name to the Wounded Warrior Project and Isaiah 117 House of Coffee/ Franklin/ Grundy counties of Tennessee. Silicon Ranch asks lower fee for solar farm
Representatives from Silicon Ranch met with the Metro Lynchburg Moore County Planning Commission to discuss the permit fee for a proposed solar farm in Moore County. Silicon Ranch’s proposed 1,400 acre solar panel farm has been a topic of discussion for the Metro Council and the Planning Commission since 2021.
