Blankets and Support Kits Donated By Area Businesses To Coborn Cancer Center
(KNSI) – Two area businesses teamed with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support patients at the Coborn Cancer Center. St. Cloud Subaru and Used Car Outlet delivered 80 blankets and 30 patient care kits to the facility, packed with luxury items like colored pencils and coloring books, socks, stress balls, tissues and a water bottle.
Construction Update On St. Cloud VA Campus
The St. Cloud V.A. is undergoing a significant information technology update and this includes construction on buildings on campus. St. Cloud V.A. Public Affairs Officer Barry Venable indicates several roads on campus are being rebuilt as well, which has caused some disruption. He says all services continue to be available.
Community Strings Orchestra to play summer concert
MONTICELLO — The Monticello Community Strings Orchestra will be performing its 23rd Annual Summer Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at the Monticello High School Auditorium, located at 5225 School Boulevard. With members that range from 11 to 69 years old, two different community groups — the concert orchestra and symphony orchestra — will be performing a wide variety of musical selections. This summer, the Monticello Community Strings Orchestra will be led under the direction of Michelle Schettler-Stein and Rachel Vannett. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central MN Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Sixteen-year-old Grisedia Gomez was last seen in St. Cloud on May 25th. She is a Hispanic girl, 5'4" tall, 200 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes, and her front teeth are framed in gold.
