Motorcycle Crash Sends Annandale Man to the Hospital
MAINE PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP (WJON News) -- An Annandale man was hurt after crashing his motorcycle Thursday evening. ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Part of a popular hiking trail in St. Cloud will close next week for construction. Beaver Island Trail will close on Monday, July 22, from 3rd Avenue South to Veterans Bridge. In that area, crews will work on retaining wall repairs and erosion control improvements.

Minnesota Law Officer Airlifted to Hospital After Rollover Crash
Willmar, MN (KROC-AM News) - A law enforcement officer in western Minnesota was airlifted to a hospital in St. Cloud following a traffic crash Thursday evening. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office says the single-vehicle crash was reported around 6:20 PM on a rural highway near the town of Atwater, approximately 5 miles east of Willmar. A news release says the responding deputies quickly learned the crash involved a fellow Kandiyohi County deputy who was on duty and driving a squad car.
Rox To Wrap Up Homestand With Three Weekend Games
The St. Cloud Rox will wrap up a six-game homestand this weekend before getting some time off for the All Star break. The Rox, winners of five straight games and currently in first place in the Great Plains West Division, will host the Bismarck Larks for a 7:05 first pitch Friday night. Richard "Dick" Bloom, 87, of St. Cloud, formerly of Willmar, died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his home in St. Cloud. His Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar and will be streamed at https://www.ourlivingwater.org/dickbloom.html. Interment with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Willmar Public Schools Foundation to be used for school supplies. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org.
